I've not seen the latest Terminator film. I was going to go in California but work - and booze - got in the way. Going by the reviews I didn't miss anything and as I'm such a huge fan of the first one, I don't really want to tarnish the memory.
However, I think I know where these troubles began....
The Wizard of Oz: The Reckoning

The Wizard, supreme in his power and rage, burnt the strawman for his impudence. Over the inferno he barbecued the lion and fed lion-burgers to his many slaves. Tearing the bloody heart from Dorothy's chest he presented it – still beating – to the Tin Man. Having been granted his wish, the Tin Man served as an assassin for the Wizard, until the day he ran away, changed his name and joined the ABC Warriors.
Yeah... By 'strawman' I do, in fact, mean scarecrow...
