There is nothing worse than the bastard creative block. Carefully laying out your tools, the determination to get something done, to create something and ending up with a blank sheet. Creative Catharsis came about as a way of breaking the block on a solo project I was - and still am - trying to get off the ground.

I don't, as a rule, have a problem with writer's block. Until I sit down to write. The ideas flow quickly and freely, too many sometimes, but as soon as I sit down in front of a flickering screen or a blank piece of paper they run away to hide.
I have to sidle up to them, quiet like, and start writing when they least expect it.
